Thank you St Patrick’s Primary

Children from St. Patrick’s RC Primary School have been coming up with innovative and creative ways to help raise money for the community and the school.

An example of the ways they have been raising the money is the children from Year 5 have been selling delicious sweet filled cones that they made themselves and sold on Mother’s Day. They managed to raise a whopping £700 and have generously donated £250 to Mahdlo; the remaining money has been used to buy brand new microphones for the school and an activity day for pupils.

They invited members of the team from Mahdlo in to the school for a special assembly, made by the children, in which they said “Mahdlo is such an important part of the community” and they “fully support it” as the children can use the facilities available.

Simone Dixon the teacher who helped to organise the sale and assembly said: “We chose to support Mahdlo as a few months ago they came in to talk to us about the activities on offer and tell us more about the charity. Then we went there to do a careers fair and the kids fully enjoyed it and where thrilled with what they had to offer and told me the climbing wall was very impressive!”

THANK YOU to Year 5 at St Patrick’s from everyone at Mahdlo!
