Volunteering

Young people need you

At Mahdlo Youth Zone we support our members to try something new and step out of their comfort zones all the time.

But they need your support and guidance to become the best they can be.

By volunteering at Mahdlo, not only do you give back to the community by making a difference in young people’s lives, but you also get to develop your skills in a lively setting and have a great time doing so.

Our passionate volunteers generously give their time to support and make a positive difference to the lives of young people. The diversity of their backgrounds means they bring a wide range of skills, experiences, abilities and interests.

Volunteering at Mahdlo

Our volunteers help us to support and empower young people, creating a world of opportunity, by:

  • supporting them to be physically active and develop their teamwork and sports skills on our 3G MUGA and in our sports hall
  • helping them understand budgeting, nutrition and cooking healthy foods that reflect their identity and cultures
  • being a listening ear, friend and mentor
  • getting messy around the art table, noisy in the music room, or dramatic in the drama studio – tapping into their creativity and imagination
  • supporting community and fundraising events, spreading the word about the amazing work we do
