On Saturday 3rd September, we rounded off our Get Active Summer of Excellence with a trip to Lilleshall National Sports Centre. 46 of our members went on the trip to see where some of the country’s top athletes train and even have a go at using the facilities themselves. The group met double gold medal winning Paralympic archer, Danielle Brown MBE, who spoke about finding your passion and working hard. Danielle addressed the group and said, “There is no such thing as failure. Find something you enjoy and use every little achievement to build your confidence. Every person in this room is capable of greatness.” The young people were really inspired and enjoyed asking Danielle about her career and especially about her gold medals!
