Further to this you will explore practical intervention strategies (e.g. sensory diets / lifestyles) and how these may best be used to achieve positive outcomes. \nThe course is being delivered by Lisa Hamer\, an Advanced Practitioner in Sensory Integration and Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist. Lisa is the director of Shine Therapy Services Ltd\, a multi – disciplinary consultancy providing Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy for children and young people throughout the North West.

DESCRIPTION:Leaf your troubles behind and go on a hike as the Three Peaks of Saddleworth\, sponsored by KG Construction\, is back for 2024! Get your walking boots on and put your best foot forward on Saturday 6 July. \nActions peak louder than words\, in 2022 more than £11\,000 was raised by people like you\, and 2023’s total has already surpassed that amount with fundraising pages still open! Your support raises aspirations and creates new opportunities for young people in Oldham\, Saddleworth and the surrounding areas. \nWe will again be taking on the local landmarks of Pots and Pans\, Indian’s Head and Wharmton Hill. The 15-mile route will be challenging but rewarded by some incredible views of Oldham and beyond…just as long as it’s not raining! \nSigning up to support Mahdlo\nIn return for signing up for the challenge\, you will receive a commemorative t-shirt\, breakfast\, picnic and refreshments along the route\, and post-walk food at The Royal George. You will also receive support for your fundraising efforts\, including help with setting up your fundraising page\, social media banners\, sponsorship forms\, etc. \nWe recommend you head over to Give As You Live to set up your fundraising page now\, you’ll need the link before you book your tickets. Each day is just £13 per young person and includes a light breakfast and hot lunch\, as well as access to every activity throughout the day. For an extra 50p\, why not extend your booking until 5pm with Holiday Zone Extra? \nWhether your child likes to draw and paint in the art area\, play football or dodgeball\, or spend time crafting gifts to take home\, we’ve got different daily activities available. \nWe’ve also got a gaming area with games consoles\, table football and the ever-popular pool! \n \nHoliday Zone is open to Mahdlo members aged 8 to 14 years. Membership forms can be completed at reception. If you would like to enquire about your membership status\, please contact reception on 0161 624 0111. \nYour child will be looked after by our team of qualified and trained\, DBS checked\, youth workers\, activity workers and volunteers. To ensure the health and safety of your child whilst at Holiday Zone\, advance booking is required. \nPlease note that all young people attending Mahdlo are expected to adhere to our members Code of Conduct\, and young people must not attend if they have tested positive for Coronavirus.

For an extra 50p\, why not extend your booking until 5pm with Holiday Zone Extra? \nWhether your child likes to draw and paint in the art area\, play football or dodgeball\, or spend time crafting gifts to take home\, we’ve got different daily activities available. \nWe’ve also got a gaming area with games consoles\, table football and the ever-popular pool! \nCADS – Holiday Zone for young people with additional needs\nOur holiday programme is fun and inclusive and designed for young people with additional needs or a disability aged 8 to 25\, and non-disabled siblings and friends (aged 8 to 19). \nCADS will take place on Tuesday 30 May and Wednesday 31 May. You can book one day of the CADS Holiday Programme by calling reception on 0161 624 0111 or visiting Mahdlo to book a place. CADS costs £5 per young person\, and lunch can be added on for £2. \nThe programme offers a range of activities in a structured environment. We do not provide 1-to-1 support\, however\, we welcome PAs to support any young people who require assistance. Any PAs attending the programme will be asked to complete our PA Agreement. \n \nHoliday Zone is open to Mahdlo members aged 8 to 14 years. Membership forms can be completed at reception. DESCRIPTION:This introductory session is for anyone with an interest in the care of children and young people. \n\n\n\nSensory processing difficulties can affect a young persons’ ability to successfully access and be involved in learning\, play\, and social situations at home and in education. \n\n\n\nDuring the course of the session\, you’ll explore practical intervention strategies\, such as sensory diets\, and how these may best be used to achieve positive outcomes for young people. \n\n\n\nThis session is being delivered by Lisa Hamer\, Director of Shine Therapy. Lisa is an advanced practitioner in sensory integration and a highly speciality occupational therapist. \n\n\n\nThere is no charge for places on this session although they are strictly limited. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

But you can fundraise whenever you like\, between right now and Friday 31 March. \n\n\n\nSo\, how can you support us on the day? Donning the colours of your team…yellow or grey\, displaying posters and proudly and loudly supporting Mahdlo\, and of course by completing any fundraising you have planned! \n\n\n\nThe next steps (aka HOW DO I SIGN UP?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)\n\n\n\nWe cannot wait to see what you are getting up too! DESCRIPTION:Holiday Zone takes place Monday to Friday\, 8.30am – 3.30pm. \nWe want Holiday Zone to be as affordable as possible\, so we’ve locked our prices again! Each day is just £13 per young person and includes a light breakfast and hot lunch\, as well as access to every activity throughout the day. For an extra 50p\, why not extend your booking until 5.30pm with Holiday Zone Extra? \nWhether your child likes to draw and paint in the art area\, play football or dodgeball\, or spend time crafting gifts to take home\, we’ve got different daily activities available. \nWe’ve also got a gaming area with games consoles\, table football and the ever-popular pool! \n \nHoliday Zone is open to Mahdlo members aged 8 to 14 years. Membership forms can be completed at reception. If you would like to enquire about your membership status\, please contact reception on 0161 624 0111. \nYour child will be looked after by our team of qualified and trained\, DBS checked\, youth workers\, activity workers and volunteers. To ensure the health and safety of your child whilst at Holiday Zone\, advance booking is required. \nPlease note that all young people attending Mahdlo are expected to adhere to our members Code of Conduct\, and young people must not attend if they have tested positive for Coronavirus. \nPlease call reception on 0161 624 0111 or pop in to Mahdlo to book for Holiday Zone

DESCRIPTION:No-one should have to say “I wish I had the chance to do that” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith a budget of £1.5m this year\, Mahdlo reaches thousands of young people every week\, providing opportunities and experiences for some of the most disadvantaged young people in Oldham. \n\n\n\nFriday 17 March marks 11 years since we first opened our doors to young people across Oldham.  \n\n\n\nWe rely on funding from businesses and the local community to continually provide somewhere to go\, something to do and someone to talk to. Without the generosity of Oldham\, we would not have been able to support its young people for so long. \n\n\n\nAll donations you make or pledge by 31 March will be matched\, pound for pound\, up to an incredible £25\,000.\n\n\n\nThere are so many ways to get involved whether that’s signing up for our Yellow vs Grey day on 31st March\, making a direct donation\, taking on a personal challenge or organising an event it really doesn’t matter\, every penny will be doubled. \n\n\n\nAll we ask is that you pledge by 31st March and pay by 31st May. \n\n\n\n\n\nTracker\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat can you do to help?
