Youth Worker, £10.09 per hour

We have opportunities for 5 Youth Workers to join our successful delivery team. You will provide professional youth work to deliver a range of exciting programmes to children and young people that will challenge, stimulate and provide new opportunities, in line with Mahdlo’s six themes.

The ideal candidates will have a qualification recognised by the JNC for Youth and Community Work. You will have experience of face to face youth work delivery and will be confident in working with and managing children and young people (8-19 years old both in groups and individually) to develop their social education by providing programmes of activities, services and facilities that are engaging and enable young people to develop. You will also have a commitment to personal and professional development.

Family and Girls Zone Coordinator (female applicants only)

24 hrs/week, £19675.50 per annum pro rata

We are looking to recruit a Family and Girls Zone Coordinator to join our successful team. You will be expected to work 24 hours per week including delivery of Saturday Girls Zone, Sunday Family Zone and Sunday Family Ability Zone. You will provide professional youth work to deliver a range of exciting programmes to young females and families.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working face to face with children and young people and designing, developing and delivering programmes of youth work activities. You will have the ability to manage, lead and motivate teams as well as network and liaise with relevant partner agencies in the area. You will have a commitment to personal and professional development and will be able to multi task, meet deadlines and give the best impression of Mahdlo. You will also have good administration and IT skills.

Volunteer Mentor

Make a difference in a young person’s life – become a Mahdlo Mentor! Mahdlo’s Mentoring scheme is designed to offer one-to-one support to young people aged 8-21.

Mentors are volunteers who come from all walks of life and can give up to two hours a week to offer support, guidance and assistance to a young person.
