Sports Activity Worker
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sports Activity Worker to join our successful team. You will deliver a range of exciting activity programmes that will challenge, stimulate and provide new opportunities, in line with Mahdlo’s Get Active (Sports) key theme. The post is for 7 hours per week working on Sundays.
The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering a wide range of sports or activity sessions. You will be able to work with young people aged 8-12 years and /or 13-19 years (25 with a disability) both in groups and individually. You will also have a commitment to personal and professional development.
You must be committed to working within the spirit of Mahdlo’s core values – Pride, Respect, Inclusion, Dependability and Excellence – which describe the way we work.

Ability SEND Support Worker
We have an opportunity for an Ability (SEN Support) Worker to engage and build rapport with young people with an additional need or a disability, supporting them to achieve their full potential to take part in Mahdlo Youth Zone’s exciting, vibrant offer. Committed to promoting cohesion and inclusion, you will work in a ‘person centred’ way and use your own initiative to meet a range of needs.
The ideal candidate will have some experience of working with young people with disabilities or other needs, together with the ability to plan and deliver activity sessions for those with a wide range of abilities. With a good knowledge of health and safety, you will maintain safeguarding best practice and will be confident in managing a group of young people, especially those with challenging behaviour.
You must also be committed to working within the spirit of Mahdlo’s core values – Pride, Respect, Inclusion, Dependability and Excellence – which describe the way we work.

Make a difference in a young person’s life – become a Mahdlo Mentor! Mahdlo’s Mentoring scheme is designed to offer one-to-one support to young people aged 8-21.
Mentors are volunteers who come from all walks of life and can give up to two hours a week to offer support, guidance and assistance to a young person.
