  • Sir Robert McAlpine supports growth through sport in Oldham
    Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd has today confirmed that Mahdlo Youth Zone was successful in its bid for a share of their Strong Foundations Grant. The grant will fund two sports workers between September and December to work with young people aged 13 to 19 or up to 25 with additional needs.     Mahdlo Youth Zone in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Saddleworth and Oldham Metro and Oldham Council held a borough-wide competition to give young people the opportunity to audition for a performance slot at this year’s Saddleworth Show, held on Sunday 26th June at Well-i-Hole Farm in Greenfield.
