Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, was the guest speaker at Mahdlo Youth Zone’s latest business breakfast event, designed to bring business leaders and owners of SMEs together for a morning of networking and talks by key figures from business and the community.
Hosted by CEO of MID Communications Danny Simpson and speaking in front of more than 50 people, Andy answered questions for attendees on topics including the Clean Air Zone, opportunities for businesses in Oldham to support young people into employment, and transport infrastructure across Oldham and Greater Manchester.
A keen supporter of Mahdlo Youth Zone, Andy Burnham spoke about the importance of raising young people’s aspirations across the borough and how opportunities provided by youth organisations such as Mahdlo support Greater Manchester schemes such as GMACS to increase youth employment.
