Mahdlo Youth Zone is a state-of-the-art multi-million Pound location providing young people aged 8 to 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs, engaging and exciting opportunities to try something new, seven days a week.
We’ve got incredible facilities including a 3G Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) pitch climbing wall, boxing gym, three court sports hall, sensory room, fully equipped gym including weightlifting equipment, recreation area and dance, arts, music and media suites and much more.
With more than 100 full-time, part-time and volunteer staff we have a fundraising target of £1.6 million this year, raised through our Patron’s Programme, community fundraising, and events.
The role
We have a new, exciting opportunity to recruit a highly motivated and proactive person to the role of Employability Lead.
As Employability Lead, you will play a key role in designing and delivering an engaging employability programme that supports young people aged 8–19 (up to 25 with a disability) to build confidence and develop their skills. You will create opportunities that inspire young people to explore their potential, gain new experiences and achieve positive outcomes. You will work closely with the fundraising team to connect with local businesses to create opportunities, experiences and pathways that benefit young people across Oldham.
This role includes planning and delivering high-quality programmes, creating opportunities for accredited learning, and ensuring activities are inclusive, engaging and responsive to the needs of young people.
