Proclaim Your Love For Mahdlo! Help Us Walk 500 Miles!

https://www.mahdloyz.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Design-our-minibus.png is asking the Oldham community to ‘proclaim their love’ for Mahdlo by helping them walk 500 miles on 4th July 2020.

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, the charity has been forced to postpone all fundraising events including the incredibly popular ‘Three Peaks of Saddleworth’ walk.

Last year more than 200 people ascended the hills of Saddleworth to raise money for the Youth Zone. This year Mahdlo is asking everyone to walk, jog, and run as many miles as they can to allow the charity to continue their work and support Oldham’s young people and their families.

In addition to supporting a vital local charity, sponsored walk fundraisers will also receive a commemorative t-shirt and certificate for taking part in the challenge, as well as an invite to an exclusive celebration event once lockdown rules are lifted.

Signing up for the Mahdlo 500 Miles Challenge is easy! You can register for the event by heading to: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/500-mahdlo-miles-tickets-110256319620

Simply pay your £10 donation, enter your details, choose your mileage, and start fundraising!

Mahdlo will be on hand to offer any support you need including advice on how to get started, and social media posts you can use to help raise awareness and fundraise.

Lucy Lees, Deputy Chief Executive at https://www.mahdloyz.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Design-our-minibus.png, said: “The Three Peaks of Saddleworth challenge is always such a fantastic event and we wanted to find a way for everyone to experience the positivity and energy of the event while everyone is staying at home and socially distancing.

“We can’t wait to see everyone’s pictures and watch the miles build up on the day! Keep an eye out for the totaliser on our website, and don’t forget to send pictures of you taking part in the challenge and tagging us on social media!

“In the current climate, fundraisers like these are absolutely vital to ensuring that Mahdllo can continue to support our 4,000+ members and their families through this difficult time. I want to say a huge thank you to our amazing Oldham community for their generosity and enthusiasm and we can’t wait to see everyone getting involved on the 4th July.”
