Mahdlo is an iconic state-of-art Youth Zone in the heart of Oldham Town Centre, attracting young people from across the borough with our fantastic facilities. We provide positive activities and practical support to children and young people of all abilities aged 8-21. We launched in March 2012 and are open seven days a week, at weekends, on bank holidays and during school holidays. Our facilities include a dedicated sports hall, indoor climbing wall, gym / fitness suite, boxing studio, dance and performing arts studio, music and multi-media spaces and an outdoor all-weather pitch in addition to a café, games and social areas.
To make the Youth Zone a success the people who will run, manage and fundraise for the Youth Zone are key!
Current Vacancies
Development Manager
Salary £30,000 – £40,000 dependent on experience
Hours 37.5hrs including some evenings and weekends
Location Mahdlo, Egerton Street, Oldham
We are now looking to recruit a Development Manager who will be responsible for securing and maintaining £300,000 of funding income a year. Whilst we have already achieved considerable success raising funds from a combination of private and corporate donors, trusts and foundations and the Local Authority, as an independent charity with running cost of £1.2mill p.a., it is important we diversify and expand our support base.
This role is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic and proactive individual to own and shape Mahdlo’s income generation strategy. Suitable candidates will be high achievers with a successful business development and sales track record. The position will require excellent IT and communication skills, and a DBS check will be required as part of the Charity’s commitment to child safeguarding.
