On Saturday 28th March, over 300 young people gathered at Wigan Youth Zone for the President’s Cup.
Mahdlo competed in a number of activities against Youth Zone team from Wigan, Blackburn, Carlisle, Bolton, Manchester and London. We’re delighted that the Mahdlo team came 3rd overall and won the Inclusion Cup Winners Award for gaining the most points across the inclusion sports rounds: wheelchair basketball, seated volleyball, skittle ball and uni hoc.
Lucy, Mahdlo’s Youth Work Manager said: “This is a great achievement for our young people – they worked so hard and performed well in all their activities, but on top of that they cheered on the other teams, supported each other and had a great time making new friends. We couldn’t be more proud of them!”
Congratulations to the Mahdlo team, to Blackburn Youth Zone who took the President’s Cup home as winners, to our hosts and runners up Wigan Youth Zone and to everyone from all the teams – it really was an amazing day!
