Curious 2015

Curious logoOn Sunday 26th April, young people from Mahdlo presented a theatre piece to raise awareness of autism as part of Autism Awareness Month.

Curious is a performance workshop piece which was devised by junior and senior members of Mahdlo. It is set in the promenade style which sees the action take place in different locations throughout the Youth Zone. Dance and singing weaves through the drama and is enhanced by the clever use of pre-recorded narration and simple props, scenery and lighting.

Enthralled audiences followed the performers around the building and were amazed at the quality of acting, singing and dancing. We here at Mahdlo are very proud of our young performers and look forward to working with them on future projects!

We would like to thank Northern Stage for their generosity in providing lights, Audra and her team of young artists who made the scenery and props, and the voice artists who worked on the narration.

Curious was directed by Christopher Mundy, choreographed by Kirsty Green and produced by Kate Entwistle.

The performance was part of the Get Creative/Express Yourself programme at https://www.mahdloyz.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Design-our-minibus.png.
