Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated and pro-active person to the role of Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser. The post holder will have significant experience in trust fundraising, writing compelling funding bids and strong relationship building skills. You will work closely with the income generation team to deliver a coherent fundraising strategy, ethos and message that meets Mahdlo’s business needs and exploits all viable opportunities.

Experience in three or more of the following areas are essential:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of business development through trusts and grants fundraising.
  • 3 years’ experience in writing high-quality winning bids in the public or third sector.
  • Experience of working competently under pressure and to tight deadlines, often without direction/continuous supervision.
  • Excellent rapport building, networking and relationship management experience.

Performing Arts Worker

Performing Arts Worker

We have an exciting opportunity for a Performing Arts Worker to join our successful team. You will plan and deliver a range of exciting performing arts programmes to children and young people that will challenge, stimulate and provide new opportunities, in line with Mahdlo’s Get Creative key theme.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 Dance/Theatre Leaders Award or Arts Award Gold or equivalent and will have experience of leading and delivering a wide range of performing arts projects to groups of young people aged 8-19 (25 with a disability).

Good knowledge of different dance and theatre styles as well as working knowledge of technology used to support drama/ dance development and performances is essential. You will be able to provide coaching and support to young people on all aspects of performing arts, including drama, dance/movement, and theatre skills.

It is essential you have a passion for working positively with young people and delivering an excellent service. You must also be committed to working within the spirit of Mahdlo’s core values – Pride, Respect, Inclusion, Dependability and Excellence – which describe how we do things.

Salary: £10.49 per hour
Hours: 11 hours per week, evenings and weekends

Customer Services Team Leader

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Services Team Leader to join our successful team. You will manage Mahdlo’s front of house reception service ensuring that all young people and visitors receive a warm welcome and a quality experience every time they attend Mahdlo.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills and experience of working in a customer facing environment. You will be able to develop and implement service standards ensuring that a customer focussed, high performance and high commitment environment is in place in reception. You will manage staffing levels within the Customer Services Team and ensure that effective and productive working relationships are developed for a seamless service delivery.

Health and Wellbeing Coordinator

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, highly motivated and pro-active Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our successful team at Mahdlo Youth Zone on a 3-year fixed term contract.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide guidance, advice and support at an early stage, have a passion for Health and Wellbeing and will be able to deliver a wide range of Health and Wellbeing based activities to support Mahdlo Youth Zone to identify young people who may have experienced or are experiencing difficulties.

Volunteer

We have loads of varied roles suitable for volunteers. If you are looking to develop your skills and confidence for work and have a few spare hours each week, you could join our team as a Mahdlo Volunteer. It’s a great way of developing your self-confidence, motivation and employability skills whilst making a real difference to the lives of our young members.

You can volunteer at Mahdlo if you are aged 16 or over and have left school.
