Mahdlo Youth Zone receives Mayor’s Appreciation Award

The Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Ginny Alexander, yesterday announced that https://www.mahdloyz.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Design-our-minibus.png has received the Mayor’s Appreciation Award in recognition of our outstanding community support and charitable work for the people of the borough.

Visiting Mahdlo, Mayor Ginny Alexander said:

It truly is an amazing place. When I visited Mahdlo I met lots of young children taking part in the various activities including cooking, art, basketball, snooker, table tennis and football. There is also a boxing ring and a gymnasium.

When we visited the music studio, we listened to two young girls singing. Fantastic! The Performing Arts at Mahdlo is more than just music, drama, dance and art; it is about expression and emotion through meaningful engagement. Throughout the pandemic members have been writing ‘2020 the Musical’

I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU & WELL DONE to everyone involved.
YOU SHOULD ALL BE VERY PROUD OF YOURSELVES

The last 12 months have been a difficult time for everyone and the team at Mahdlo are extremely proud of the work we have done to support young people and their families across Oldham.

As we look towards the future and reopening we cannot wait to have young people back.
